Wilson Center Catalyst is Grinnell College’s idea incubator and fund that supports students in moving early concepts toward execution. Dennis rebuilt around a countdown-to-launch curriculum, introduced customer-facing structure and sales-oriented execution, and standardized the venture journey into clear stages with repeatable templates and expectations. The goal is simple: shorten the distance between an idea and a credible first launch, while raising the quality and follow-through of student projects.
GrinFit is a student-built campus wellness project focused on gym utilization, training habits, and nutrition visibility. Dennis worked on translating student needs into a structured, user-facing product by defining core functionality, contributing to execution frameworks, and aligning technical development with real usage constraints in a campus environment. He also won 1st place at Pioneer Weekend 2025 for this idea

Integrated Grinnell's eGauge electricity tracking system into the Grinnell College Open Energy Dashboard (GCOED) and created the first comprehensive emissions tracking system in 5 years
The JuaJamii Initiative aims to foster sustainable energy development by empowering low-income areas of Tanzania to adopt renewable forms of energy production rather than conventional, non-renewable means of energy production. This project enhanced electricity access to over 100 people

SHUTDOWN Inc. is an event planning and logistics company operating primarily in the Dar es Salaam region of Tanzania that was founded in 2022. SHUTDOWN has planned and executed events with international artists such as Xduppy and DJ Ally Bi, with attendances of over 800 people
